Sacramental Preparation

FIRST COMMUNION/RECONCILIATION
A two-year process for all students in grades 1-12 who are preparing for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Communion. First-year students will attend weekly Faith Formation sessions and Sunday Mass.  Second-year students will continue in weekly Faith Formation sessions, in addition to, “Family Enrichment” Sundays (see calendar).  Family participation is necessary for this process.  Communicants will receive, in their final year, the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and Communion.

RCIC (RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION FOR CHILDREN)
A two-year process, welcoming children ages seven through eighteen into the Catholic faith.  It is designed for those students desiring the Sacraments of Baptism in the Roman Catholic Church, Eucharist (Communion), and ConfirmationFirst-year students will attend weekly Faith Formation sessions and Sunday Mass.  Second-year students will continue in weekly Faith Formation sessions, in addition to, RCIC sessions during a Sunday Mass and Family Enrichment Sundays (see calendar).  Family participation is necessary for this process.  Candidates in this process will receive all three Sacraments of Initiation:  Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation at the Easter Vigil.
