Dismissal Catechists

Hospitality

For 48 Sundays a year, a group of parishioners offer hospitality after three of the Sunday morning liturgies. Sharing coffee, juice, and donuts is a wonderful way of meeting new people, visiting with friends and just “hanging out.” If you would like to assist in setting up, serving, and cleaning up for one liturgy one Sunday a month, please call the Parish Office for further information,

Sacristans

Sacristans are responsible for the immediate preparation of the vessesl and sactuary for weekend liturgies.  This is a necessary, behind-the-scene ministry.  Each sacristan serves two weekends a month at one of the liturgies.

Ushers

Ushers are men and women who welcome everyone and offer hospitality. Everyone present should be doing this, but ushers are the community’s way of ensuring that it happens.  Ushers sign up for the liturgy during which they would like to minister two Sundays each month.  Ushers are assigned by the coordinator of that liturgy.  If unable to serve at a liturgy to which they are assigned, it is the responsibility of the ushers to find someone to fill in.  Ushers are encouraged to dress appropriately for this public role as liturgical ministers.
