i-bhXLWN2-X2San Francisco Solano Parish strives to minister to the faith formation needs of adults and to provide opportunities for ongoing faith formation that fit into and complement the busy lives its parishioners.

We have programs for women and men, for those raised Catholic and for those new to Catholicism, for parishioners who want to meet regularly with others and for those who have a desire to continue growing in faith but have many other commitment.

Adult Confirmation

On Pentecost Sunday, we will celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation for adults who have been baptised in the Catholic Church and have received their First Communion but who have not yet been confirmed and wish to receive this final sacrament of initiation. There will be three mandatory preparatory classes to attend, the dates are April 27, May 11 and 18, at 7:00 PM in the Parish Office conference room.

Adults who have not been baptised, who have been baptised in another faith or another Christian church, or who have not yet received their First Communion may complete the RCIA program.

Christ Renews His Parish

We invite you to reinvigorate your faith and that of our parish community by attending the Christ Renews His parish weekend. CRHP is a weekend like you have never experienced before! It is an opportunity for you to strengthen your love and commitment to our Lord. Too often the distractions and routine of our everyday life distract us from growing in our relationship with God. The weekend is a time out to discover, in a casual, relaxed atmosphere, how to connect your Catholic Faith with your daily life. The weekend activities take place right here at our parish and your evening is spent in a local hotel.

If you would like more information or would like to register for the event, place contact the parish office or click on the link below to register online.

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) outlines the steps for the formation of those adults who have not been baptised or who have been baptised into another Christian church and desire to become members of the Catholic church. Each year, San Francisco Solano parish offers those who desire reception into full communion with the Catholic Church the opportunity to participate in RCIA.

Parishioners who have been active in the RCIA process often wish to work with men and women seeking to become fully initiated Catholics. They may become part of the RCIA Team, which facilitates all parts of the process.
